Privacy policy

This policy explains how The PC Doctor ("we", "us") uses personal information collected through this website. Last updated 24 October 2026.

Who we are

The PC Doctor is an IT support business based in Plymouth, Devon. You can contact us at contact@mypcneedsfixing.com or on 01752 000000.

What we collect

If you use our contact form, we collect the details you give us - your name, email address, optional phone number, area and message - together with your IP address and the time you sent it, which we use to prevent abuse.

Why we use it

We use this information to reply to your enquiry and to provide the services you ask for. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries) and, where you become a customer, performing a contract.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. A single, essential session cookie is set only when you visit the contact page, to protect the form from forgery. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Sharing and storage

We do not sell your data. Enquiries are emailed to us and kept in a private log on our own hosting. We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months unless you become a customer, in which case we keep them for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
